Business Litigation
Ms. Billingsley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005. Ms. Billingsley earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2008. During law school, Ms. Billingsley was a Dean's Scholarship recipient, and was awarded Best Case Note in 2007 by the SMU Law Review Association. Ms. Billingsley also competed in several moot court competitions, winning First Place Overall in the National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition, and First Place Overall, Best Brief, and Best Oral Advocate in the Howie Sweeney Moot Court Competition. Ms. Billingsley served as a guardian ad litem in the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic during her final semester of law school. Prior to joining Figari & Davenport, Ms. Billingsley clerked for the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
