Since joining Figari & Davenport, Ms. Sotak has gained experience in a variety of cases. She played a key role in defense of a multidistrict products liability class action, resulting in the court’s denial of nation-wide or state-wide class certification in ten cases. She has also represented a putative class of structured settlement beneficiaries seeking the reformation of factoring transactions. Ms. Sotak represents insurance industry clients in diverse cases ranging from claims disputes to title insurance curative and regulatory issues. She has also worked on various business litigation matters, including contractual disputes between business partners, commercial landlord-tenant disputes and various business tort and intellectual property issues.

Ms. Sotak plays a number of important roles on her cases, including handling fact development, deposing witnesses and parties, drafting motions and briefs, arguing hearings, attending mediations, negotiating settlements, as well as participating in the formulation of case strategy.
